Our Worship

Our worship is designed to exalt Christ above all, and be faithful to the maxim, “In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things charity.” We recognize that our attendees come from a range of theological traditions and have varying preferences with regard to forms of worship. At the same time, we believe that if Christ has made us one, we should not allow those differences to divide us. In that spirit…

…we pray for a different congregation each week, from a wide variety of denominations and geographical locations. In doing so we remind ourselves at the beginning of each worship service that we are one in Christ with believers around the world, across the spectrum of Christian traditions and even through history.

…we are committed to blended worship, incorporating a wide range of forms and musical styles, including hymns, contemporary songs and liturgy, with several different worship teams providing a weekly variety of worship styles. By embracing that variety, we all have the opportunity to worship in a style that is meaningful to us, and to express that our bond of love is rooted in Christ, not our personal preferences.

…we are committed to biblical preaching that seeks to provide a solid foundation of biblical knowledge along with practical application of God’s word to our daily lives. In our preaching and teaching we emphasize the foundational truths that are clear in Scripture, while providing room for a range of perspectives on secondary matters. While we do not mandate a particular translation, we preach and teach from the English Standard Version (ESV) of the Bible.
