What a joy it is for my family to celebrate another advent season with you, our beloved brothers and sisters in Christ. Over the 15 years we have had the honor and privilege of serving Christ with you, you have made this place and this congregation a home for us. It fills my heart with joy to look back over the last year and see the hand of God at work in and through us!
In this time of unrest, strife and rising evil in our world, the local church carries the hope of the world! That hope came to us humbly 20 centuries ago. He who was our only hope was born as one of us, lived perfectly as one of us and died for all of us. In this month, as we remember His incarnation, may we, as He did, go to the lost sheep of the world around us. May we reach them with the love and hope of Christ. In this ever-darkening world, may our light be all the more obvious to those without the illumination of Christ. And may we, in turn, be spurred on to shine all the brighter as we see the church throw off every bushel that might dim her light. May we in turn throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles and run the race! The finish line is near!
God bless you my brothers and sisters! As always, you are in our prayers. May our heavenly Father, “according to the riches of his glory, grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen” (Ephesians 3:16-21).
In His Peace,
Pastor Brian Torres
