Greetings Beloved of TCC!

May our God bless you richly in this season of giving!

In this season we remember the greatest gift ever given to man. In that remembrance, we are reminded of the greatest cost ever paid. God’s great gift to us, the gift of his only Son, perfectly communicates the as-yet unfathomable measure of his boundless love. We may, in this season, hear questions from those concerned with the historical roots of Christmas. Conversely, we may hear from those who wish to secularize the holiday. But neither of those concerns ought to trouble the true Jesus follower. In this season the call of God for humans to be reconciled to him through God the Son remains part of our cultural conversation! Therefore, as the people of God, we joyfully use this opportunity to speak the gospel to a world that needs our Messiah so desperately. May we not get distracted by conversations and arguments that in the end, do not matter. Rather, let us, by God’s grace, turn every conversation, every word to The Word. May we who have freely received Christ, the greatest gift of all, at this Christmas freely give Christ.

How precious it is to celebrate this season with you, beloved! During this time of thanksgiving, my family and I are so thankful for you and praise our God for the wonderful blessing of serving Him together with you for the past 16 years. Our prayer for you is that in this time you will sense His presence with you, and be enabled by the Holy Spirit to comprehend what is the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of God in Christ for you.

In His Love,

Pastor Brian
