Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! This season closes a year of the most significant developments within the history of my life, culminated with the assistance of “The Jaws of Death.” Most of you are cognizant of the tragic event I have experienced in the last four months of this year, in which I have spent mostly in rehab with a noose around my neck, so to speak, referring to my neck brace. Hopefully, by the time this greeting comes to print it will be removed.
Jonah, an Old Testament prophet, came to a situation in life where he was destined to perish and he prayed to God for deliverance, “I called out to the Lord, out of my distress and he answered me; out of the belly of hell I cried, and you heard my voice” (Jonah 2:2). God heard Jonah and he will hear us.
Your prayers for us, your many cards and visits have been an inspiration, a display of love which we will never forget. Thanks for your faithfulness to God and to the body of Christ.
